Salford Nocturne Folding Bike Race (The Folding Society)

Following on from the success of the last year's and this year's Smithfield Nocturne, the Salford Nocturne will take place at the end of this month. Olympic gold medalists Chris Hoy, Geraint Thomas and Ed Clancy will head the line up. Entries for the supporting folding bike race close on the 22nd.

The club have decided to no longer air Manchester United Radio on match-days. The station, which had been available on 1413AM, broadcast pre-match build-up and commentary to all United games and was broadcast to the Salford and Manchester areas. However, the club have announced a new deal with Key 103 who will now deliver the service, hosted by ex-Red Mickey Thomas.

A woman had to be cut free after impaling her arm on three-inch metal spikes attached to a statue of the Hindu goddess Kali.
