[Technology] HTC Touch Diamond official desktop cradle (Tracy and Matt's Blog)

At the Touch Diamond launch event last week a few HTC employees mentioned that there would be a number of official accessories for the new device. So I managed to track down this photo of the official desktop cradle for the HTC Touch Diamond . HTC Touch Diamond official cradle I must say that this looks super sexy with its glossy black finish. You'll also notice the decent looking set of headphones in that photo above which, in my mind, implies that the dock/cradle will allow you to sync, charge and use headphones while the device Diamond is plugged in! Now that would be cool! You can pre-order the cradle for the Diamond from the Clove website HERE .
As many as 5,000 people are feared dead as a result of a magnitude-7.8 earthquake that struck roughly 60 miles northwest of Chengdu in China’s Sichuan province. Chengdu's international airport has been closed. Among the areas hit is Wenchuan, the Times of London reports , “best-known as the home of the Wolong Nature Reserve, China’s leading research and breeding base for the endangered giant panda.” Many travelers know Chengdu as the gateway to Jiuzhai Gou , a wilderness park and UNESCO World Heritage site. The quake was felt as far away as Bangkok.

Times Online : 'Thousands killed' in China earthquake ...
Balanced News Blog : Dead Mounting in China Earthquake ...

blogs : World Hum,Times Online,Balanced News Blog...
(6 posts, last update: 12/05/2008 21:03)

Ned's Atomic Dustbin are the latest bygone band to announce a reunion, with a single show at London's Astoria this Dec. 6. Much as I love their double-bassed assault, aren't we running out of bands that can reunite during this decade?

The class warfare stuff, although cheap, is bording just about acceptable; but one thing horrified me (on an election leaflet): "Do you oppose making foreign nationals carry and ID card?" Regardless of the fact that I oppose ID cards in anyway, shape or form (the mere idea is distinctly alien to Britain) - "making", "foreign nationals" is the language of the [far] right. What has our party come to? Do we not know who we sound like with such inflammatory, nationalist statement. Unless of course - the plan is to TRY and appeal to the BNP - in which case, i may leave the party now. Central should be putting their foot down on this; I would rather the seat be lost - than win on the back of a campaign based on fear.
[Politics] A war veteran adrift (Don't trip up)

News has not been kind to Gordon Brown this week. John Prescott “frustrating, annoying, bewildering and prickly” with sulks that would cancel meetings and volcanic temper tantrums. He also claims Mr Brown held money back for his own premiership. Furthermore, Ed Balls was one of the "Gordon group, running around, spreading stories" Cherie Blair accused him of “rattling the keys above [Tony Blair's] head” and being impatient to take over the leadership. Now, Frank Field has said he thinks Mr Brown is "unhappy" and does not believe he will be leading Labour into the next election. Much of this is not surprising. It is well known Mr Brown was eager to take over from Mr Blair. His temper, his sulks and his clannish politics are well documented. So was his scheming and plotting to get into power. What is notable is not how much Mr Brown schemed and plotted his route into 10 Downing Street, but how competent he was at it. The claims he was constantly pushing Mr Blair to name a date, forcing Mr Prescott to broker hundreds of reconciliatory meetings, indicate how obsessed he was with winning the top job. Mrs Blair supports this in her claims of "rattling" keys and impatience. This deep obsession appears like Mr Brown waged a ten year civil war with Mr Blair, using his clan to open new fronts against the prime minister. This reached its real height in the summer of 2006, when a Brownite coup was allegedly staged and Mr Blair was forced to name a date of departure. Mr Brown won a final victory. That image of competence stands in stark contrast to the prime minister we see today. Upon assuming power, Mr Brown has acted like he lacked direction. Ministers have spoken of feeling adrift at sea without the gust of prime ministerial direction to blow them to their direction. After the war, Mr Brown is like a demobilised veteran. He was fighting Mr Blair for ten years. Once he achieved victory he does not know what to do. There is no direction because peacetime Mr Brown lacks a strat

Times Online : Rebel MP: Gordon Brown will not lead Labour at election ...
BBC News : Blair scared of Brown - Prescott ...

blogs : Keep Tony Blair For PM,Times Online,Stephen Newton's diary of sorts...,A View from Middle England,BBC News...
(9 posts, last update: 13/05/2008 01:38)
